About Families in Recovery (FIR)
Families in Recovery supports families and friends affected by their loved one's addiction, helping them move past isolation to share their experience, strength, and hope in a safe and understanding environment. FIR's goal is to increase support of, and engagement between, the whole family impacted by addiction, improve participants’ outcomes for long-term recovery, and improve family outcomes.

The FIR program provides those in recovery and their families with:

Weekly Support Groups in 2 Locations (Lewisburg and Middleburg)

Connection with Community Support and Service Providers
Developed in collaboration with the Union and Snyder Commissioners, the 17th District’s Treatment Court team, and people impacted by Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), SVM’s Families in Recovery Program engages non-profits, faith-based communities and community partners to take a whole family/community approach to supporting individuals with OUD and their families.
"Reentering Your Community" is a comprehensive guide to the resources in the Snyder, Union and Northumberland Counties for those in need.

8-Week Program
BALM
Be A Loving Mirror (BALM) is a Free 8-Week transformational course offered by the CMSU and SVM to all Snyder and Union County residents.

Ongoing Program
12-Steps in 12-Weeks
Learn the 12 Steps of recovery in an understanding, non-judgmental, and confidential environment. Open to all in recovery and family members affected by addiction.
When: Wednesdays starting Sept. 9,

Ongoing Program
FiR Parenting Classes
Families in Recovery will begin offering a 7-week parenting course for parents in recovery. Meet other parents in recovery, learn to improve communication with your children, and identify your parental strengths and needs. Note: Once registered, you must attend all 7 classes to receive certificate of completion.
When: Light breakfast at 9am, class from 9:30-11:30 am starting September 15
